2011 Spartan/Crimson 1500 GPM engines. The engines are the primary response unit for fire calls. They are identical in design and equipment with each featuring a 750-gallon booster tank, 50-gallon AR-AFFF foam tank, 25-gallon F-500 foam tank, numerous attack hose lines and a multitude of supply hose, as well as hand tools, breathing apparatus and other auxiliary equipment. Other features include thermal imaging cameras and Toughbook computer with Red Alert software. Both engines also consist of an enclosed 7-man cab and respond to a number of different situations including fires, motor vehicle accidents, haz-mat incidents, CO detector activations, and traffic duty.
Truck 6
1998 RD Murray/Nova Quintec. It is a 103' Aerial Platform. It does not have a pump or a water tank and is strictly used for Truck Company Operations. It can carry up to six specially trained firefighters. Truck 6 carries several different lengths of ground ladders, enough air paks (SCBA's) for each firefighter and a full compliment of hand tools for various jobs that are encountered on the fire scene. There is an 8kw generator on board to run our portable lights and exhaust fans. The firefighters that ride this vehicle are trained in many aspects of firefighting such as search and rescue, ventilation, controlling of utilities, salvage and overhaul, forcible entry and recon.
Rescue 7
2004 Spartan/Saulsbury. It can carry up to 8 firefighters. It is the primary response unit for motor vehicle accidents (MVA's). It has a 25' 9000 watt light tower, which is run by a 54kw generator. It also contains an on-board compressor for use with various air-powered tools. Rescue 7 also carries a variety of hand tools, saws, fire extinguishers, traffic control equipment, cutting torches, various types of rope, EMS, Rehab and hazardous materials equipment. A large portion of this vehicle is dedicated to auto extrication. "Amkus" is the name brand of our hydraulic extrication tools. The cab of the vehicle is also capable of serving as a command post for large-scale incidents.
Squad 7-1
2004 Ford F350 with a utility box built on the truck. It is utilized as a quick response vehicle for rescue/EMS calls and it is also manned by our Fire Police unit at motor vehicle accidents and fire calls. It carries a variety of hand tools, lights, portable generators, various traffic control equipment, a CO detector, an AED, and other EMS equipment.
Ambulance 8
2001 Ford E-350 Wheeled Coach. This vehicle answers the majority of EMS calls along with all fire calls. This vehicle carries a semi-automatic defibrilator, an AED, and other life saving equipment. The ambulance is the backbone of our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division, responding to over 700 calls for medical emergencies annually.
Chief's Truck
2010 Ford Expedition. This vehicle is equipped with first aid equipment, an AED, fire extinguisher, and forcible entry tools. It can act as a mobile command unit with items such as multiple radios and a Toughbook computer with Red Alert software.
